The ultimate fate of Cell 1138 is still unknown. The area which 1138 was holding, a Loading Bay turned into a killzone, was heavily bombarded by combined Basilisks and Venidcator Seige Tanks.
Depected her is the 'leader' of Cell 1138, Dagan. Little is know of this Traitor Astarte however it is assumed he was in command as Vox traffic should the call sign 'Dagan' giving orders. However this could be a ruse.
Pics recovered from Dark Angels recon squad Torrance show Dagen lacking full plate. It is assumed his armor was made from other marks of armor.
Please post it so we can enjoy it too! I've read all the stories you posted over time and across different boards - always impressed by the blend of realism and grim dark 40kness they include! How are those other operatives going BTW?
Nope, but there is an "Alpharius" in his cell. He is not a true blood alpha legionnaire, rather a marine created using stolen gene seed who specialises in fighting space marines, exploiting weaknesses in the codex Astartes to cause maximum attrition.
I can safely say that Barrett had absolutely no influence in this picture. Indeed, it is the first illustration I've ever done that involved no reference material at all. It took me a very long time to do
Excellent drawing Darkchild!I love the rag-tag appearance you gave him. He retains the mean, professional soldier look even though his gear is ad-hoc, wich is cool! I must say the change to the boots and leg armor changes the "conventional" lines of the marine, enough to try it on a model and see how it looks. Any chance of a helmet design soon?
Thanks for the comment. I plan to do a "helmet on" version after I've drawn all 4 cell members, so it will be some time away yet lol. The leg design is inspired by the old Dante miniature, I always preferred the contoured look over the classic space marine boot. The rest of the cell will look a bit more conventional, but all individuals in their own way.
